As many of you know, I am about the biggest Auston Matthews fan out there. I have argued the point that he is EVERY bit as valuable a player as Connor McDavid and all of those who put McDavid on a pedestal above all others should really be considering Matthews right there with him. And yet, Matthews is now about to miss a month and has missed a lot of time already due to injuries in his still young NHL career.
Matthews is in a dangerous spot right now in the vein of Eric Lindros. Can he change his game to avoid injury and yet still be Auston Matthews?
What's the buzz?
Your turn...
* When it comes to future pay with Matthews how much do his injuries factor in? * Should Matthews change his style to stay healthy? * Can a player even really do that?
