The Ottawa Senators announced this morning that they have fired Jim Little as Chief Executive Officer of the organization, just more than two months after he assumed the role. Little, who had previously spent time with Bell, Royal Bank of Canada, and Bombardier, looked for a short time to be a steady hand with a vision to get fans back on board with the team’s direction. That ended this morning.
Details surrounding the departure are sparse, but the Senators noted that Little was removed for “conduct inconsistent with the core values of the Ottawa Senators and the National Hockey League.… There are conflicting reports as to what that means, as Sportsnet’s Kyle Bukauskas quoted NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman as saying “it’s not what you think…:
