We had another great night hitting both home favs! We have a great 11 game card tonight! Analysis below.

PITT/DAL - 2pm EST - The Pens have won 10 in a row while Dallas won their first game back in over two weeks over Florida the other night. Both team play it wide open and I expect much of the same, strong lean to the over 6 but not touching the side on this one as both teams are dynamite, Pitt on the road and Dallas at home.

TOR/COL - The Leafs crushed the Avs back in Toronto on Dec. 1st by a score of 8-3! I'm told the Avs haven't forgotten about it and I see the home team prevailing in another high scoring game. Lean to the home side and over 6. The Avs on a 22-2 over run in the 3rd period.

SJ/PHI - The Flyers have 12 player while the Sharks have 8, including Couture and Karlsson. SJ is playing their 4th in 7 nights on the road. Philly is without a ton of key players, this is a no play for me, not worth it.

BOS/TB - The Lightning are finally healthy and playing like the 2 time defending Cup champs. TB owns the Bruins winning the last 5 head to head and are terrific at home! Huge lean to TB -157 but passing on the total for now. TB playing 7th game in 11 days, Boston 5th game in 8 day.

NJ/CLB - This is the back end of a home and home with these two, I expect more scoring and CLB is much better home. NJ beat CLB 3-1 the other and have won 4 of their last 5 games!

FL/CAR - The Panthers are such an average team on the road compared to their incredible home record. FL sat rested while Carolina beat the Flames last night. Canes are great at home, lean to the Canes -133 but passing on the total at 6.5 even with Spencer Knight out and Bobrovsky taking the load in goal.

WASH/MINN - The Wild sat rested last night while the Caps got hammered by the Blues. The Caps are without some key players and Minny has only played twice since the break. After the game tonight they don't play again until Friday against Anaheim. Huge lean to Minny +110 as a dog at home!

NASH/AZ - The Preds are playing their 3rd in 5 nights on the road but its also their 5th of their last 6 games on the road, tough spot for them here. Small lean to the Yotes +210 and the over 6.

CHI/VEG - The Hawks hit Vegas as it's the return of Fleury to Vegas! The Hawks have lost 4 in a row since the break and look awful while Vegas has Stone and Lehner back, so I look for big win by the Knights -210. Small lean to the over 6.

NYR/ANA - The Ducks have 10 players out including goaltender John Gibson. Lean to the Rangers -1118 and the over 5.5 with the Ducks back up goalie in. Dont forget the Ducks had to postpone the game against Detroit just 2 nights ago due to so many covid cases with their team.

DET/LA - The Wings are terrible on the road and LA is solid at home. The Kings -150 is a decent price for a team that needs a win badly. Lean to LA. Small lean to the over 5.5.

Playing tonight - Back later on with more plays when starting goalies are announced. Pens/Stars o6(-118)(2 Units) Avs - ML(-143)(3 Units) Leafs/Avs o6(-110)(2 Units) TB - ML(-157)(2 Units) Wild - ML(+110)(3 Units) Adding - VEG -1.5(-105)(2 Units) CHI/VEG o6(-105)(2 Units) NYR - ML(-103)(1 Unit) NYR/ANA o5.5(-115)(1 Unit) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Survivor Hockey Pool is basically the same idea as Survivor Football pools, except picking consistent winners in hockey is a little tougher than it is in football. Our Survivor Hockey pool is all based on the weekend (Sat-Sun) schedule, so you could potentially pick a team against different opponents if they play both days.

How to Play

Entrants pick two teams each weekend of the NHL regular season with the intention of the selection winning. A shootout or OT win, count as your team winning. If the team's selected wins, the entry survives to the following week. If one of the teams selected loses, the entry is eliminated from the pool. If you fail to post your picks before the weekly deadline, your team is eliminated. If all remaining teams lose during a week, they all move on to the next week. The final surviving entry is the winner unless there are multiple teams alive after the final week of the season. Teams may only be selected one time for the duration of the pool. You can't pick a team a second time after you have used that desired team's selection once. If you pick a team in which the game is postponed due to covid, the selection will be canceled, you won't be graded a win or a loss and you will have to pick an additional play the following weekend. We will post a new blog every Friday in which you will post your 2 weekly picks. The picks can't be edited as the system shuts them down and we will take pics of each weekly entry so nobody is trying to cheat. This way everyone can see your picks each week. The deadline for your weekly entry will be at Noon EST every Saturday. The first week's deadline is Saturday, Jan. 1st at Noon EST.

Cost - $100 per entry is payable by Paypal or if you live in Canada, E-transfer is accepted, which is also the quickest way to gain entry. If you choose Paypal allow a few days for the payment to go through so please keep this in mind when registering that we need to receive it before the deadline for week 1 picks need to be posted. The maximum number of entries by any e-mail address or user at hockeybuzz is 3! Once we have your money you will be notified and activated into the contest. Please IM here at hockeybuzz and I will give you the email address for Paypal or the E-transfer. We will release how many entries we have after the deadline so each entrant is aware of the payout at the end of the contest.

If you have any questions, please IM here at hockeybuzz or post them in the comment section. Thank you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
