Home teams were 3-1 with 3 of 4 games going over the total. The Grand Salami went over for the 9th straight night too! We have a 10 game card tonight, with some teams in nice spots for us! Analysis below.
STL/NSH - 12:30pm EST - The Blues are playing their 9th road game in 12 games, they've had a hectic schedule for sure! STL snapped a 4 game losing streak in fine fashion over NYR the other night 6-2. The Preds have won 3 in a row after losing 2 straight. They've been a very streaky team but a lot has to do with the Preds overplaying Saros in goal who has started 15 of the last 16 games. There are nights where he looks tired when maybe the odd rest here and there would be far more helpful for the Pred's long term results. No lean on this game.
PHI/CAR - 3pm EST - The Canes are one of the best teams on homeice but this is the ultimate sandwich for them off the huge win over COL and they travel to Pittsburgh tomorrow for another big game with the Pens. The Flyers won 2-1 earlier this year in CAR but lost both at home 4-3OT and 6-3. Small lean to PHI +256.
DET/CAL - This is another sandwich game spot for a top team in the league. The Flames are off a tough 4 games stretch, with wins at COL, win at home over EDM but a loss at home to WSH. Then another big win at home over TB the other night. CAL now has another rematch with COL tomorrow night on the road. DET starts a 4 game roadie and will probably face the Flames backup goalie in Vladar. Small lean to DET +293.
AZ/BOS - The Yotes have won 4 in a row and 6 of their last 8 games with wins over DET and TOR to start their 5 game east coast roadie. BOS won at AZ in January 2-1. The Bruins head back out on the road again for a 4 game road trip after this one. Small lean to the hot team AZ +302 who are playing with nothing to lose.
SEA/MTL - The Habs are off a tough 5 game road trip and teams in their first game back from the west coast really tend to struggle. They have won 7 of their last 9 games though. Seattle is playing their 5th game of the road trip tonight and have lost all 4 on the trip, plus 1-11 in their last 12 games. The Kraken beat MTL back in October 5-1 on home ice. Small lean to MTL -115 as they are moving in the right direction.
CHI/OTT - Ottawa has won 2 in a row and this will be the 2nd game of their 5 game homestand. Both teams are 3-7 in their last 10 games and the Hawks have gone over the total in 8 of their last 10 games. CHI beat Ottawa earlier in the season 5-1 at home. Small lean to OTT -110 on their home ice.
ANA/NJ - The Ducks are really banged up and have lost the first 2 games of their road trip. The Ducks won at home 4-0 over NJ earlier this season. NJ has been dynamite at home over the last month knocking off some of the best teams in the league. Lean to NJ -142 in this spot with the Ducks playing their 3rd in 5 nights on the road.
NYR/DAL - This will be the Rangers 4th game in 6 nights on the road, having dropped the last two 5-2 & 6-2. The Stars have won 4 of their last 5 games and are terrific at home vs. a very average NYR team on the road. Huge lean to DAL -130 and they beat NYR earlier this season 3-2 in NY. DAL plays this home game and goes right back on the road for another 4 games, off their recent 3 game roadie.
LA/SJ - The Sharks won the first of this home and home series in OT the other night in LA. The Kings are 10-4 in their last 14 games and they need this game to stay in their current playoff spot! SJ has won the first 2 games head to head this season. Lean to LA -138 even though they have FL and COL on deck at home.
TB/EDM - TB beat EDM earlier in the season at home 5-3. This will be the Lightning's 4th in 7 nights on the road and have lost the 2 on this trip. The Oilers have been off since Wednesday, which is nice when you got a road weary team coming in. Lean to EDM +120 as a small dog in a nice spot.
