Seattle ruined a perfect for us, oh well, what can you do! Favs were 3-1 while the overs were 3-1 last night. We have an 8 game card tonight, analysis below. I really like today's card!
PHI/DET - Noon EST -- Back end of a home and home with these two teams, Detroit having won the first game 6-3. Detroit is a much better team at home and Philly is still ravaged by injuries, lean Detroit -157.
CLB/MTL - 12:30 pm EST - The Jackets have won 4 of their last 5 games and all 5 have gone over the total! CLB is playing their 3rd game on this 5 game roadie after beating WSH and BUFF. The Habs have lost 8 in a row and 14 of their last 15 games, so it's very hard to back a team that is playing awful hockey. CBL -136 or MTL +123, gotta side with the small fav.
BOS/OTT - This is the Sens 4th game in less than 6 nights and they looked fatigued last game out. Under is a strong play here especially if Murray is in goal as he has been outstanding over the last month. The Sens have won 3 of their last 5 games, while Boston has lost 3 of their last 4 games are without Marchand and Bergeron. The Sens have gone under the total in 9 of their last 10 games and with an early start, they tend to play low-scoring afternoon games. Plus Boston is without a ton of their scoring power, a huge lean to the under 6 here. Bruins -175 or Ottawa +146, small lean to the Sens.
WINN/NSH - The Jets played last night in Dallas while the Preds sat rested at home. Each team has won a game vs the other at home this year. The Preds have won 4 of their last 6 games and are off until Tuesday after this one. Winnipeg returns home for a 4 game homestand after this one. Lean to Preds -169.
TOR/VAN - The Canucks got caught in a tough spot, back to back nights at home in losing to NYI. I expect a great effort from Vancouver against the Leafs. Toronto is off a bad loss in Calgary. The Canucks are a live dog at home +157, I don't see any value in Toronto -188, but they have gone over the total in 6 straight games. The total is worth a look in this one.
NYI/CAL - Calgary is red hot, having won 5 in a row and just dominated Vegas and Toronto in back to back games. I always worry about a let down after emotional games but NYI is played in EDM last night while the Flames rest. Calgary is off until Tuesday after this one as they continue a 7 game homestand. Nice price for Calgary at -161.
CHI/STL - These teams have split the season series so far but both teams have lost 3 of their last 4 games. Steep price for STL -193 for division rivals. Chicago has lost 7 of their last 9 games and is terrible on the road. The Blues head out on a 4 game roadie after this game. It's a pass for me, far better games on the board.
CAR/MINN - This will be the Cane's 4th game in 6 nights on the road and have their toughest test on this road trip when they visit the Wild. Carolina is 1-2 on the trip with losses at TOR and OTT, with a 6-0 win at BOS. Minny hasn't played since Tuesday at home, a 2-0 loss to the Jets who snapped their 6 game winning streak. Minny only 1 game since the All-Star break vs a Carolina team that has played 3 games, all on the road. Great spot here for Minnesota, a very rested and hot team at only a -110 fav. Huge lean to Minny!
