Thursday night saw the favs go 9-3 but a spilt with no home/road edge which says the better wins more than not down the stretch. First period overs were 8-4. Analysis below. CHI/NSH - 12:30pm EST - The Preds have lost of 3 of 4 and need these two points to keep their playoff positioning. The Hawks just broke their 8 game losing streak. The Preds have won 2 of 3 head to head this year with Chicago. NSH cant be looking ahead to other games, they need points now. Huge lean to NSH -290 andd PL -110.
DET/NYR - 12:30pm EST - The Wings are off a big win at CAR the other night. Both teams have defeated the other team in their bran this year but both teams doing in different directions. NYR are trying to catch CAR for 1st place in the division. Lean to NYR PL -150.
PITT/BOS - 12:30pm EST - The Pens have been struggling lately 5-5 in their last 10 and Boston has lost 3 in a row and 4 of their last 5 games. Pens won the only meeting this year 4-2 in Boston. Pens off until Thursday when they play Boston in their barn. Small lean to BOS -125.
MIN/STL - 3pm EST - The Blues are red hot at the right time, having won 7 in a row and 9-1 in their last 10 games. The Wild are 7-3 in their last 10 games too. Both teams playing playoff hockey already. Both teams have won at home head to head this year, both games going over the total. Lean to STL -110.
VEG/EDM - 4pm EST - Vegas is fighting for their playoff lives and had a huge win over Calgary the other night. Both teams are 7-3 in their last 10 games. EDM won both games in Vegas and the Knights won at EDM earlier this year. Lean to VEG at even money.
PHI/BUFF - I've been saying this for awhile now, the Sabres are playing very good hockey over the last month even though they have lost some tough ones against the best teams in the league. BUFF won the only meeting this year 6-3 and the Flyesr are 2-8 in their last 10 games. They played each other back to back days this weekend. Lean to BUFF -145.
WSH/MTL - The Caps sat rested while MTL lost to NYI on Friday night. Carey Price returned so don't expect him in the net tonight. The Caps have won 4 of their last 5 games while the Habs are back to playing like the Habs going 2-8 in their last 10 games. That shine is off of Marty St. Louis of late! Lean to WSH -270 and the over 6.5, Caps have gone over the total 8 of their last 10 games, one of those being a push. The Caps have won 5-2/6-3 over MTL this season. WSH had COL and VEG on deck on this 5 game roadie!
TOR/OTT - This game means more to Ottawa than Toronto down the stretch here. Be careful of teams down the stretch that might not be motivated for certain games as they get ready for the playoffs. The Leafs beat the Sens twice at home but lost at Ottawa earlier this year. Lean to OTT +230.
WIN/TB - The Jets are pretty much out of the playoff picture and it showed last night losing 6-1 to FL. TB is rested and needs this win to keep their playoff positioning. Lean to TB -250.
SJ/DAL - The Stars hit the road for a 3 game Western Canada roadie then return home for 4 games to end the season. DAL needs this win to stay in the playoff hunt. The Sharks have lost 8 in a row and are a mess. Huge lean to DAL -200.
CAR/COL - The Canes are struggling at the worst time of the season going 4-6 in their last 10 games while the Avs have won 8 in a row. Huge lean to COL -135.
AZ/CAL - The Yotes have the longest injury list of any team and I don't see them winning another game this season. AZ has lost 12 of their last 14 games. CAL PL - 160.
NJ/SEA - The Devils are on a 5 game roadie and this will be the 4th game on it. The Kraken have been off since Tuesday and are a well rested team that plays much better at home. Lean to SEA -123.
