Another average night with the Wild getting owned at home, something that never happens to this team. Then of all things, the DAL/CHI game goes scoreless in regulation and OT! Only a 7 game card for a Saturday night, the analysis below.
COL/BUFF - 1pm EST - The Avs have actually gone under the total in 6 straight games and 8 of their last 10 games! This is from one of the highest-scoring teams in the league, plus they are off a huge emotional win at Vegas now they face the lowly Sabres who looked dreadful against Ottawa the other night. This is a bad sandwich game for Vegas with Boston on deck Monday night. Buffalo heads out on a 5 game roadie right after this game. Small lean to the under 6.5 in this one. COL -350 is a steep price for any road team!
EDM/WIN - 4pm EST - The Oilers have been dynamite under the new coaching staff, winning 4 in a row and looking like a totally different team. EMD -130 is terrific odds and enjoy it while it lasts, as Vegas will catch up on these odds soon! EDM is playing their 7th in 11 nights and tmrw night they host Minny, they could be looking ahead to that one too., then they head out for a 5 game roadie for a crazy stretch of games. The Jets have won 4 of their last 6 games and go out on the road for a 4 game trip. Huge lean to EDM -130. They have split the first 2 games head to head this season.
BOS/OTT - The Sens are playing their 8th game in 13 nights and with all those injuries, you know fatigue will play a role as the game goes on. Bergeron played last game against NYI and the Bruins tend to rebound from bad games. They owned Ottawa last week in their 2-0 win in all aspects of the game but -191 is far too steep a price without Marchand. Boston 1-3 without Marchand in the lineup. Bruins go home for one game against COL after this one, then a crazy 6 game roadie. Lean to the under 6 here.
STL/TOR - The Leafs won in STL last month 6-5 and this will be the Blue's 3rd road game in 5 nights. TOR -178 is a big price as the Blues play a heavy game at forward and I'm not sure the Leafs defense can handle it over 3 periods. Lean to STL +149 and the under 6.5.
LA/AZ - The Yotes sat rested last night while LA played a huge emotional/physical game in Vegas. The prime letdown spot for LA and AZ has been off for 8 days, not having played a game this week. Lean to AZ +165 and the under 5.5. They play at AZ again on Wednesday night too.
SEA/CAL - The Flames have won 8 in a row and have WIN on deck. At some point, CAL will slip up, get caught looking ahead, or not take an opponent as seriously as a contender. CAL -300 is steep and if anything I would lean to the under 6 due to how CAL plays defensively.
ANA/VAN - The Canucks have won 3 of 4 since the All-Star break and look much better now that they have close to a healthy lineup! The Ducks look terrible after a great start to the year. Since the Christmas break, the Ducks are 6-13 and have lost all 3 games since the All-Star break. They might become sellers at the NHL trade deadline. Lean to VAN -161.
