The San Jose Sharks may have just one win in their first three games, but if there’s one positive so far, it’s that the team hasn’t struggled to find scoring.
San Jose has four forwards who are pretty clearly above all others on the depth chart, in Logan Couture, Evander Kane, Tomas Hertl and Timo Meier. So far, the four forwards have combined for seven of the team’s 11 goals and have consistently been able to produce.
Tomas Hertl has been in on six of those 11 goals, with three goals and three assists to start the season, which has him tied for the league lead in points. Meanwhile Logan Couture and Evander Kane have each managed four points, while Timo Meier has a goal and two assists to show for.

But for now, it’s been good to see that San Jose doesn’t have to worry about their top forwards producing and additionally, it’s always easier to add depth scoring than it would be to add scoring at the top of the lineup. So far, San Jose’s top forwards have delivered.
