And about that...on the Sabres...
There is no doubt the Sabres find themselves in a tough spot as they try to improve this team. You can pick whatever GM you want, but ultimately the success or failure in Buffalo depends on two men...Jack Eichel and Ralph Krueger....And the good news for Sabres, and their fans, is these two vital and highly respected hockey people are "very much" on the same page. I hear each would go through a wall for the other..
And they might have to, but I fully expect that despite the Adams hiring, Krueger will be way more involved in ALL player decisions.
Could Quarantined players from other teams be allowed in the seats at upcoming games?
It would seem to me that since the players from each Conference are all quarantined together there would be no reason to not allow the players to attend each other's games. This could make for some extra intensity in the arena as players do love playing in front of their peers...also some extra ribbing....
I asked the NHL and was told that this was probably not going to be allowed, in order to be extra safe..funny as it sounds it wasn't a "NO" but more of a "probably not"...so not likely, but not completely ruled out...
On Vegas...
I also asked if Vegas was as definite as the NHL media has been implying.. the response:
"Nothing is 100% until the decisions are made. And they haven't been made yet."
It appears as though the NHL is very much leaning that way, but also is keeping a close eye on the casino re-openings. How that goes for Vegas, along with what the local Canadian governments have to say on the quarantine rules being altered to allow teams from the states to play there, is holding up any definite announcement...although such an announcement could be coming very soon....
