Bob Boughner will reportedly have the interim tag lifted from his title and is set to become the full-time head coach of the San Jose Sharks, according to The Athletic’s Pierre LeBrun.
According to LeBrun, the announcement should come relatively soon.

This doesn’t come as much of a surprise, as it’s been rumoured for a while now that Boughner would be staying on as head coach. He took over when Peter DeBoer was fired in December and had a 14-20-3 record with the team from the time he was promoted.
Boughner had success in junior hockey, leading the OHL's Windsor Spitfires to back-to-back Memorial Cups in 2009 and 2010 but has yet to make the same impact as a head coach in the NHL. He holds a career record of 94-82-25 as an NHL head coach.
