For the third straight year, the Flyers Rookies will take on the New York Islanders' rookies. The scene shifts back to New York this year. Game time at the Northwell Health Ice Center in East Meadow, NY, is 6 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed live on the Islanders' official website, with the Flyers website picking up the Islanders' feed.
An originally scheduled 10 a.m. morning skate for the Flyers rookies at the Skate Zone in Voorhees, NJ, was scrapped in favor of a veterans' skate. The Rookie Game participants will bus to East Meadow midday. Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol will be behind the bench this year after Flyers assistant coach Gord Murphy and Phantoms' assistant coach Kerry Huffman shared the coaching duties at last year's game at the Wells Fargo Center.

Neither David Kase (offseason surgery) nor Pascal Laberge (banged up at practice on Tuesday) will be playing. The Flyers Rookie side will have 11 forwards, seven defensemen and goalies Carter Hart and Liam Hughes.
