Columbus and Pittsburgh face one another again today at 2PM and it will be quite different than the last game the Penguins won 4-1. In that contest the Penguins came strong with their lineup, as far as preaseason is concerned. They had Evgeni Malkin with Alexander Galchenyuk and Brandon Tanev with Dominik Simon centering Jake Guentzel and Dominik Kahun. Today’s roster is rather feeble compared to the one from the other night.

Forwards: 19 - McCann 20 - Bjorkqvist 24 - Kahun 26 - Agozzino 27 - Bjugstad 36 - Blandisi 37 - Lafferty 45 - Lucchini 46 - Aston-Reese 53 - Blueger 54 - Di Pauli 57 - Angello
Defensemen: 2 - Ruhwedel 6 - Marino 7 - Czuczman 44 - Gudbranson 50 - Riikola 55 - Warsofsky
Goaltenders: 1 - DeSmith 60 - Larmi
There’s nothing about this roster I’m particularly interested in. Maybe Dominik Kahun being more noticeable, but we still haven’t seen him alongside Crosby or Malkin and we won’t today. Some are interested in John Marino, but he is destined for the AHL as there is no room for him on the big club. People tend to get overexcited with different names and faces this time of year. Nate Legare will probably turn out to be an example of this. The two goals were great the other night. It would have been nice for him to play today against what looks to be a much better Columbus lineup. I'd want to learn as much as I can about Legare during this unique time of year and today would have been a good opportunity to continue that process. Columbus is playing some of their better forwards including Cam Atkinson, Pierre-Luc Dubois, Boone Jenner, Nick Foligno, and Josh Anderson.
Hey friends!

When Legare does eventually get sent back to juniors at least he’ll be about 10k richer
Interesting clause in Nathan Légaré’s contract. If he plays in the Q this season, the @penguins are giving him a $10 500 salary.
