After coming in at #15 Jyrki Lumme has been bestowed a great honor, bested only by the 14 players who will supersede him on this list.
Today, at #14 it is the great and powerful............Daniel Briere.
This Matthew Broderick look-a-like started his career with the Coyotes after being drafted 24th overall in 1996 and is arguably their most successful homegrown player.
After five seasons of injuries and struggling to secure a lineup spot (probably due to how small he is) Briere broke out for 32 goals and 60 points in 2001-02.
He then played only most of one more year in Phoenix before being traded to the Sabres with a third round pick for Chris Gratton and a fourth at the trade deadline. This turned out to be one of the worst trades in franchise history.
This trade truly sums up the stupidity with which the NHL continues to operate. Briere was a young prospect who broke out for 30 goals then regressed slightly the next year (I'd bet $$$ due to shooting percentage and nothing else) and still finished with 24 goals after he got hot after joining Buffalo.
The Coyotes traded him - then 24, but 5'9 forever- less than one year removed from 30 goals, for a 27 year old declining monster-sized Chris Gratton who, at the time, was six years removed from his last (and only ) 30 goal season.
It's crazy to think that even now their remains push-back from people against the idea that NHL teams should not overvalue size.
Despite only having 2 really good seasons in Phoenix, Briere is the Coyotes 16th highest scoring player of all-time.

14: The Fugitive
The Fugitive, 1993, is one of the best movies ever made. They no longer - to my knowledge - make intelligent thrillers for an adult audience, and its a shame because these are some of the best movies.
It's nice that today studios can create content for every little niche that exists, but that mostly takes the form of sequels and lame fan service.
Original, thought provoking, big budget, thrillers (like the Fugitive, or Inception) are so rare that unless Christopher Nolan feels like making one, you don't get any. (Technically, the Fugitive is a re-make of an old TV show, but whatever).
And you could even argue that Nolan's movies are more sci-fi and thus have a broader appeal.
Anyways, maybe I'm wrong but I don't think I've seen a movie like this in years.
This is one of the few times I'll agree with critics - the Fugitive is a masterpiece and one of the best movies ever.
