It's no secret the Calgary Flames want, and need, to revamp their bottom-6 this summer.
Derek Ryan seems like a good bet to sign with the team. That'd be a good start.
The Flames also appear to be among several teams showing interest in Tobias Rieder.
25-year-old Tobias Rieder continues to generate significant interest. Canucks, Flames and Oilers have been connected. Florida, Montreal, NY Rangers also in the conversation.

The 25-year-old winger has averaged ~32 points per 82 games played over the last three seasons. He has proven to be a reliable depth scorer and that's something the Flames could really use.
Assistant coach Geoff Ward is also familiar with Rieder having coached him several times with Germany at the World Hockey Championships.
The combination of Rieder's production with Ward's familiarity is likely where the interest stems from.
Rieder is not without his faults, though. He is far from a possession driver and his teams have scored a larger percentage of the goals with him on the bench than on the ice in all four seasons.
Still, Rieder would undoubtedly be an upgrade over most of what the Flames have trotted out in their bottom-6 over the last few seasons.
If the price is reasonable, I think he could be a pretty good addition.
