Lyon’s performance can’t be undersold. Both in game and in the shootout, the goalie gave the team what they needed. A chance to have a close game even after Edmonton eclipsed 40 shots but still only letting 2 in. Very impressive. Raymond stepped up again with the first shootout tally and Larkin sealed it as Edmonton had gone 0 for 2. Those two along with Kasper who assisted on the tying goal have been coming up big for the team.
Edmonton fans will easily point out the dominant stretches and Lyon having to stop 45 of 47 shots while Skinner stopped 33 of 35. Both impressive with Skinner posting a .943 to Lyon’s .957. When it comes down to the shootout, anything goes and tonight Detroit grabbed another win in a tough schedule. The team is visibly different in posture and confidence, almost unrecognizable from what fans saw before the coaching change.

Less than 2 minutes later at 11:47 Larkin ties it. 2-2 A stretch pass from Kasper saw the captain beat 2 defenders and snap in the tying goal.
