The Montreal Canadiens are not YET sellers officially, but teams are calling and enough are talking right now to justify adding Kovalchuk and Tatar to the Rumor Chart....

On Kovalchuk...
The Canadiens may actually get something for him...this is true. However, don't eliminate the concept of Montreal extending him. Kovalchuk does really love it in Montreal...and the feeling so far is pretty much mutual...but he could extend in Montreal next year and STILL be traded at the deadline... Who is interested? So far I have heard Pittsburgh, Calgary, St Louis and Philadelphia...This will get interesting...
On Tatar...
Montreal should find a way to keep the highly underrated Tatar, and they know it, so right now I am told teams who have called on Tatar are saying they are being asked for far too much...Tatar is signed for one more year after this one, for less than $5M...He has shown to be a consistent player in Montreal and puts up numbers.
On Price...
There are rumors out there that Carey Price could be moved...for now at least...told it's not happening by a source I completely trust.
