New Jersey Devils have announced that forward Jack Hughes will be out week-to-week with a upper-body injury. Hughes, 21, is having an outstanding season leading the Devils with 35 goals and 67 points. Also out for tonight's game against the Seattle Kraken is Devils defenseman Brendan Smith who is listed as day-to-day.
As the trade deadline approaches, Devils GM Tom Fitzgerald will have the opportunity to evaluate the team without having Jack Hughes. How good are the Devils top six forwards without Hughes? Can the the Devils rally themselves without their top scorer and leader in the next week or so?
