Quick Hits: August 30, 2018
1) The Flyers announced their full TV broadcast schedule for the 2018-19 season. It can also be downloaded on the Flyers' official website.

2) The Flyers asked me to write a two-part article, highlighting 5 pivotal road games and 5 key home games in the upcoming season beyond opening night. In addition to marquee opponents, I tried to emphasize key junctures of the season -- long road trips and home stands, the back end of a 3-in-4 against rested opponents -- through the marathon-like campaign. 3) Happy 84th birthday to Jean-Guy Gendron. "Smitty" was one of the better goal-scorers early in Flyers franchise history. Playing left wing on an all-French Canadian line centered by Andre Lacroix with Leon Rochefort on right wing, the 5-foot-9, 165-pound Gendron notched a 55-point season (20 goals, 35 assists) in 1968-69. Gendron went on to post 23 and 20 goals the next two seasons. He remained with the Flyers through the 1971-72 season.
