1) The Flyers will hold a 2 p.m. practice at the Skate Zone in Voorhees on Monday. The team will have another practice day the following day before embarking on a 3-in-4 stretch with a nationally televised Wednesday Night Rivalry game in Washington. It's going to be a full-out sprint to the finish line of the regular season. The Flyers play 33 times over a span of 67 nights.
2) Team Pacific won the 2018 NHL All-Star Game, beating Team Atlantic by a 5-2 score in the final game of the 3-on-3 mini-tourney. Team Metro lost to Team Atlantic in the first round, 7-4. Flyers captain Claude Giroux scored a goal for Team Metro on a broken sequence in which he was initially trying to pass to New Jersey Devils forward Brian Boyle.
3) The American Hockey League All-Star Game, played in a round-robin 3-on-3 format, will be held on Monday in Utica, NY. Phantoms veteran defenseman T.J. Brennan and rookie forward Oskar Lindblom will represent Team Atlantic. The skills competition, conducted as an East vs. West contest, was held on Sunday.
4) Ontario Hockey League: Flyers 2017 first-round pick Morgan Frost temporarily re-took the OHL scoring lead with a goal an (empty net) assist on Sunday as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds capped off a 3-0-0 weekend with a 5-2 road win over the Saginaw Spirit. He was subsequently passed again by Sarnia Sting forward Jordan Kyrou. For the season, Frost has 79 points (28 goals, 51 assists) in 47 games. A plus-two against Saginaw, Frost strengthened his top spot in the league in that category. He is +51.
