Quick Hits: September 7, 2018
1) Today marks the seventh anniversary of the horrific plane crash in Russia that took the lives of the entire Lokomotiv Yaroslavl team, including head coach Brad McCrimmon. On the Flyers Alumni's Twitter and Facebook page, there is a short memorial montage video dedicated to McCrimmon's memory.
The montage is set to Bruce Springsteen's "Waitin' on a Sunny Day." McCrimmon, a fan of Springsteen and the E Street Band, sported a Springsteen shirt during the making of the Flyers' 1984 version of their then-annual "The Night Before Christmas" video.

3) On Sept 22, the Pennsylvania SPCA and Main Line Animal Rescue (MLAR) will hold a "Drive-in Movie Night" at MLAR’s sprawling Chester County property (1149 Pike Springs Rd, Chester Springs, PA 19425). The event starts at 5:30 p.m. ET. Bernie Parent will serve as the host of the evening, meeting and greeting fans. The drive-in movie is "Miracle."
In addition to the main feature, the evening will also include games, prizes, food trucks and adoptable animals. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for kids age 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under! Additionally, front and second row seats are available for $250 and $150 (includes 6 tickets) per car respectively.
4) Flyers defenseman Andrew MacDonald celebrates his 32nd birthday today. Flyers Alumni with Sept. 7 birthdays include Rob Zepp (1981) and Gino Odjick (1970).
