2) Per Tony Androckitis, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms have re-signed veteran left winger Alex Kile to an AHL deal for the 2023-24 season. Kile, 29, dressed in 29 games for the Phantoms this past season (2g, 2a, 4 points, 26 penalty minutes) along with 36 games in the ECHL with the Maine Mariners (15g, 22a, 37 points, 12 PIM). For added AHL/ECHL blueline depth, the Phantoms have signed 27-year-old defenseman Darren Brady. This past season, Brady spent his first extended stint in the American Hockey League, dressing in 50 games for the San Jose Barricuda.

3) Now-former Flyers prospect Wyatte Wylie has signed a one-year AHL contract with the Ontario Reign. Wylie, who was not tendered a qualifying offer by the Flyers this offseason and became an unrestricted free agent, fell out of favor over the course of the 2022-23 season. Although he dressed in all three games of the first-round Calder Cup playoff series between the Phantoms and the Charlotte Checkers, Wylie received very limited ice time.

4) July 18 Flyers Alumni birthday: Ted Harris (1936), Dennis Seidenberg (1981).
