1) Recently signed forward Garnet Hathaway spoke to the local media by Zoom on Tuesday. A natural leader-by-example, Hathaway said that he's always been more of a listener than a talker on the bench and the locker room but plans to embrace the opportunity to become more of a vocal leader now that he's a veteran player on a rebuilding club with a large number of players ages 25 or younger on the roster. 2) Flyers president of hockey operations Keith Jones issued a statement on behalf of the organization apologizing for audible side comments made about a reporter's question by members of the social media team during Tuesday's media availability. Note: To those of us who were on the actual Zoom session itself, no side comments were audible. We only learned of it after the fact.

* 1994: The Flyers announce the hirings of Keith "Woody" Acton and the late Tom Webster as assistant coaches under new head coach Terry Murray.
* 1995: The Flyers acquire the rights to unsigned restricted free agent goaltender Garth Snow from the Quebec Nordiques (relocating to Denver as the Colorado Avalanche) in exchange for 1996 third-round (Shawn McNeil) and sixth-round (Kai Fischer) draft picks.
* 2002: The Flyers signed rugged winger Donald Brashear to a four-year contract extension.
* 2022: The Flyers place left winger Oskar Lindblom on waivers for purposes of a contract buyout the next day.
