1) I really enjoyed my conversation yesterday with Jason Myrtetus as we recorded this week's edition of the "Mondays with Meltzer" episode of Flyers Daily. Subjects discussed include the twin anniversaries of Phantoms two Calder Cup championships, why goalie trades don't typically produce great returns, the good goalie/bad team rating condundrum, Noah Cates' potential to eventually contend for a Selke Trophy and more. 2) My longtime friend Russ Cohen of Sportsology compiled an excellent notebook at the recent NHL Draft Combine. He focused in particular on which prospects interviewed with which teams. It's far from an absolute that a player interviewing/not interviewing with a certain team predicts the likelihood of the player being selected or bypassed by that club if he's on the board. Even so, it's always interesting to see how many teams interviewed a certain Draft candidate. Often, it's the second-half risers who end up having the busiest slates of interviews, talking to 25 or more teams. To read the article, click here.

3) Today in Flyers History: On June 13, 2002, the Flyers traded goaltender Brian Boucher and Nashville's previously acquired 2002 third-round pick (Joe Callahan) to the Coyotes for center Michal Handzus and goaltender Robert Esche.
