Before the puck hits the ice tonight, some of the readers were kind enough to do some back and forth on goal scoring. Debrincat was brought to Detroit for that reason, but what is realistic to expect? He’s eclipsed 40 but with an all-world talent on the line that’s not going to be available in Detroit. Larkin has broken 30 3 times, health will play a big determining factor in his ability to do that.
The questions were simple: How many (if any) players will hit 40? How many players will hit 30? How many players will hit 20?

I'll say: Larkin and DeBrincat: 30+ Raymond and Sprong: 25+ Perron and Fabbri(hope for 70 games): 20+
The addition of Petry and Ghost on the backend will be a huge help to the offensive production of the forwards.

Zero 40-goal scorers.
Two 30-goal scorers (Larkin, DeBrincat).
There's a bunch of guys who could flirt with 20+, but most won't get there. A lot depends on health, opportunity, and puck luck. Last year 129 NHL players had 20 or more goals, an average of almost exactly four per team, and no team had more than six.
I'm going to say Detroit adds two more 20+ goal scorers. One will be Raymond. Perron is probably the most likely candidate to be the other, but again depending on usage, health, and luck I wouldn't be shocked to see any of Sprong, Rasmussen, Copp, Compher, or Berggren get just over the line.
