Game Summary
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse, this game happened. I really thought that the Oilers game would be the worst of the season but the Jackets managed to one up themselves in this game. They had by far their worst performance of the season, a 33.33% Corsi, 10% worse than any game this season. Jack Johnson was their best possession player at 45.45% and he was one of just three players to be over 40%. They managed only 18 shots on net, the only game this season they have not hit at least 25. They allowed 45 shots, only the second time all season they have given up 40.
The worst part of the game had to be the third period. The Jackets entered the period down 3-0. Josh Anderson was able to find a soft spot in coverage and scored his 13th of the season to get the Jackets back into the game.
Anderson left all alone out in front. Wennberg finds him and Anderson makes quick work of it.

Or so we thought. The Jackets goal, if anything got the Bruins going as they scored four straight goals to take a 7-1 lead. The Jackets at time when score effects said they should be controlling the game, had four shots on goal the whole period. The Bruins had four goals, to the Jackets four shots. It was a pathetic effort and the players knew it.

The Jackets have a tough week ahead of them here with home games against Toronto and Philly and one game in Pittsburgh, before they have a few days off for the holidays. They are still right in the thick of the Metro division but any sort of slump and they could be right near the bottom. They can’t afford any more lackluster performances like this.
