Game Summary
The Jackets put up 42 shots and had a 53.1% Corsi at 5 on 5, but for this game these are very misleading. The Jackets did not play as well as those numbers suggested. The Jackets had just 48.33% of the scoring chances and an even worse 37.5% of the high danger chances. John Tortorella talked about this post-game.

Looking at the shot map from the game, its clear New Jersey had the edge in the game. The majority of their shots were from right in tight and the Jackets were spread out all around.

The Jackets were able to score once and it came off a re-direction from Nick Foligno.

These are things you have to do when facing a strong goaltender like Corey Schneider. You have to get bodies in front and make his life difficult. If he can see the shot he's going to stop it.
For Foligno that’s his sixth goal of the season and second in his last three. He's been playing much better since snapping that 12 game pointless streak. He’s not putting up huge numbers but four points in seven games is solid secondary production.
With the loss the Jackets fall a point behind the Devils for first in the Metro. The good news is the Jackets have another shot at these Devils in their next game Friday.
