Jeff Petry is indeed coming to Detroit for Lindstrom and a 4th round pick and Detroit is only paying 2.34m for the defenseman.
I touched base on this August 8th asking if fans would take a shot. I am good with the move, the price etc but I know some of you probably aren’t. I feel a little better about the right shot side of the D but would still be fine if a prospect or rookie came in and stole a job.
More than that, it will be nice to see his dad wearing a Detroit hat at the games now. (Kidding of course). There was little doubt to many that Petry wouldn’t suit up for Montreal. The East feels like it will look vastly different this year with Bergeron and Krejci both retiring in Boston and Toronto still in the midst of number crunching. Let me know your thoughts, and I wish nothing but the best for Lindstrom.
