Darren Dreger, TSN, broke a possible HUGE trade last night that was being discussed and then fell apart at the last minute.
The rumored deal would have sent Duchene to Ottawa from Colorado and somehow the Predators were involved in the deal as well...
Both the Preds and the Sens have had interest in Duchene since early last summer, along with Columbus (who I am told had moved on from the concept of Duchene...for now at least)
As Darren tweeted, these deals can fall apart, but they do have a way of being revisited...
And it pretty much has to...Colorado needs to move Duchene in a big way...
As for what I have heard...among other pieces, the Preds were looking into acquiring a goalie in the deal and some help on D....the Avalanche were VERY interested in Chabot out of Ottawa. Not sure who balked or what direction this goes from here...
