The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed two more players to PTOs today.
Defenseman Nicholas Meloche joins the defensive backlog to a tryout offer.
Meloche, 26, was a second round draft pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche.
He was with the Avalanche until the 2019-2020 preseason, when he was flipped to San Jose for goalie Antoine Bibeau.
Meloche stayed with San Jose until 2022-2023, where he spent last season with the Calgary Wranglers.
In 57 career NHL games, all with San Jose, he has produced 2 goals and 6 assists.
Goaltender Aaron Dell joins the goaltending ranks in a tryout.
Dell has played 111 of his 130 NHL games with San Jose; the other 19 were split between the Devils and Sabres.
Remember when he was a Leaf and claimed by the Devils? And when he totally decked a guy and it was a suspension. Good times.
I don’t see how either fits into the system unless Cleveland’s top guys to help develop the prospects.
Of the three, Schnarr has the highest ceiling.
