I think our whole group, we want to feed off (the excitement).… John Tavares said. “It’s a very special recognition and honor to get from the organization, your teammates and everyone that put a lot of faith and belief in you.… Auston Matthews and Morgan Rielly indicated that a small group of players were informed of the choice, but did not provide any hint on how and when the decision will be announced. While the “C… has some importance, the whole naming situation has been more of a distraction the last week and something the club should have clarified in advance of the start of the season.
