Follow @james_tanner123 The Capitals and the Coyotes both play tonight, but since I hate game previews here is what I got for you: a jambalaya.
First, check out this goal:
My second favorite came in the most wonderful game of all: the one where Pittsburgh got rocked 10 -1. Couldn't happen to a more deserving team.
It deeply pains me to praise hockey's Ben Rothlesberger, but note the sick back-hand feed on the first goal, then, in the aforementioned second-best goal of the week, check out the backhander Kane delivers at the 30 second mark. Insane.
As for tonight's games, you got the Coyotes taking on the Golden Knights in the Coyotes' home opener. The coach hinted at some lineup changes, but all we really know at this point is that Antti Raanta will be making his season and Coyotes debut. Uncle Domingue was brutal and I bet the Coyotes retrospectively wish they claimed Pickard off waivers.
Unrelatedly, I'm happy the NHL decided to give us at least one afternoon game today, but it's kind of lame that it's the Devils vs the Avs. What's a matter, the Islanders were busy ??? (That's a sick Islanders burn!)
Also, give me two games so I can at least do an afternoon Draft Kings. What kind of degenerate gambler do you think I'm not? Jeez.
Finally, the Capitals will be playing the Montreals. This game will feature everything: Horse people, a donkey, forty-five Trump impersonators. Or something like that.
Just kidding! It's Thanksgiving (or if you're weird: "Canadian" Thanksgiving) so, as is tradition, everyone will be going to the game dressed as either a Turkey or a Cranberry. The Capitals will be looking for a second straight win, and Nathan Walker will be making his NHL debut.
Every heard of him? He's 5'8 and isn't a scorer. I actually look forward to seeing how this turns out.
I don't look forward to an awkward family dinner with no cigarettes! Yay for health? "Hey I know you quit smoking, but here, eat four plates of food and try to avoid triggering gramma's racism! "
Oh the times we had/ are having! Enjoy the games.
