The Islanders are finally sad to see November go. After a couple of disappointing Novembers, New York went 8-3-1 and hide a four-winning streak as they welcome the Ottawa Senators to Barclays.
Doug Weight's team defeated the Senators in Ottawa last Saturday, 2-1. It was the first time all season that the Isles scored last than three goals and won the game. The Islanders have won two straight against the Sens and are 4-2-0 in their last six vs Ottawa.
After sitting the last two games, Thomas Greiss will get the start. Greiss has won his last five starts, with a 3.17 goals against average and a .909 save percentage. The team has certainly provided Greiss with offense, scoring 25 goals during that span.
Mathew Barzal is certainly sad to see November end. The rookie had 17 points in the month and has a seven-game point streak.
Casey Cizikas will miss his second straight game with a lower-body injury. Cizkias sustain the injury last Saturday against the Sens. Anthony Beauvillier will once again center the fourth line while Alan Quine centers the third line. Quine has played well in this role. He's one of the better face-off takers on the team and has improved his play in his own end.
Ryan Pulock and Dennis Seidenberg will replace Scott Mayfield and Thomas Hickey as the third-paring defensemen.
The Senators are winless in their last seven games (0-6-1) and have lost five straight in regulation. As I wrote yesterday on Gary Bettman's thoughts on Belmont, Nassau County Legislator Carrie Solages tweeted that a rally in favor of Amazon building their headquarters in Belmont will be held in front of the Raceway.

This flyer is probably the main reason why Microsoft is killing paint. You would find a better flier for a student body president election at an elementary school. Solages, like most Nassau County politicians, have had issues with the law. I won't go into further details.
Meanwhile, it's unlikely that Amazon even submitted a bid for Belmont. Oh Nassau County!
