NEWS> Bill Daly has just come out and told the GMs the NHL Salary Cap for 2020-21 will fall between $84-$88.2 million next season... The current NHL Salary Cap is $81.5 Million so this is GREAT news for those of us who like the UFA signing period craziness...
However, if you remember a year ago Gary Bettman projected this year's cap to be $83M...and then the actual number was $81.5...The league took a TON of heat for that, so I would be shocked if the Number is less than 84...and likely for in the $86M range... That would add almost $5M to each team's cap...maybe teams will finally pay for backup goalies...
