Since we are now deep in the trade freeze and with the Holidays upon us let's have some fun...
There is a project I've always wanted to do and I think it would be a lot more fun to do it with the Hockeybuzz Community...A while ago I asked the question...What team would be better if you were talking about an all-time squad for each team: The all-time Canadians or the all-time Oilers?
I loved that debate and it got me thinking. What if we were to rank the all-time squads of all 31 teams? Obviously,The 31st best/the worst all-time team would be Vegas. Essentially this year squad, adding in James Neal....But after that it gets really tricky, and we're immediately faced with a dilemma: And before we begin this whole process where we reveal a couple of teams per day, I need your help deciding the following question.
Should The Winnipeg Jets All-time players consist of players who have played in Winnipeg for the Jets in both incarnations and leave Arizona as just Arizona? Or should there be two teams the Coyotes/Jets v 1.0 and the Jets 2.0/Thrashers?
In my opinion a player should only have played for the namesake, and the fact that the franchise itself moved doesn't matter.. It really doesn't make sense to have Teemu Selanne on the Arizona Coyotes.. However if we make that decision then we can't include the Nordiques with the Avalanche or the Whalers with the Hurricanes. I am OK with that decision because we really are talking about the best players to ever suit up for their city.
We could consider going to 32 teams and including the best Nordiques all-time team or 33 with the Whalers...Anyway, I want to let the group here decide...I will read your comments and come up with a ruling, and then later today, in my next blog, launch into the next teams up after Vegas...

6-10 would be VERY difficult, but this list is not that tough for me. Sid is still Sid and has simply proven himself to be the only guy on this list to win a Cup, A Gold Medal....basically every award available.
Were I to do 6-10....
