Three big names sitting out there could move this summer, but also possibly could last until the trade deadline…
On Pierre Luc Dubois….
If there is a player who may move sooner than later it would likely be PLD. There are at least three teams with big interest. It’s is pretty clear in two year’s time he would like to play for Montreal, but the the Canadiens right now may try and get him into the fray sooner. The Islanders and Capitals could become real options this year as well.
On Patrick Kane…
The Hawks want to be bad, and keeping Kane around for too long doesn’t help that cause. However, his money becomes much easier to swallow come the deadline. From what I am told currently, the Hawks were telling teams who are calling with interest that he is not available. That is an interesting strategy given everything else the Hawks have shown through their actions…
On JT Miller….
Gotta love Canucks President Rutherford. Although NOT the team GM, he remains true to his roots and is a true horse trader…and he loves to be bluntly honest. He wants to sign Miller for sure, but in order to do so would have to likely trade Boeser. He has publicly stated that he won’t lose Miller for nothing after this current season, but also doesn’t feel any urgency to move Miller now….saying that urgency really wont be there until the deadline. However, he did come VERY close to moving him to the Islanders at the deadline. Miller could come down to a NY Metro battle between the Islanders, Rangers and Devils.
