The Avalanche will use close to a full regular-season lineup Thursday when they play Dallas at the Pepsi Center in their second preseason game.
Nathan MacKinnon will center a line with Gabriel Landeskog and newcomer Andre Burakovsky, who will skate in place of Mikko Rantanen, who remains unsigned.

Four more forwards will make their Avalanche debuts: centers Nazem Kadri and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, and Joonas Donskoi and Valeri Nichushkin, who didn’t pan out with the Stars after being their first-round pick (No. 10) in the 2013 NHL draft.
Defensemen Cale Makar and Samuel Girard will make their preseason debuts. Defenseman Bowen Byram, the Avalanche’s No. 4 pick in the 2019 draft, will play his second game.
The Avalanche will dress their top two goalies, Philipp Grubauer and Pavel Francouz.
