Tampa Bay Lightning head coach, Jon Cooper, announced today after the team's morning skate today that the organization has made the decision to keep the 19-year-old defenseman, Mikhail Sergachev, with the Bolts.

What once may have been a difficult decision was made a simple when once Sergachev got comfortable with the NHL game and started to produce offensively. He has recorded three-consecutive multi-point games and has three goals and five assists in nine games.
With the Lightning deciding to hold onto Sergachev, this means that his entry-level contract will take effect this season. Of course, this is more than worth it as long as the young blueliner continues to produce the way he has.
