The best part of this trade is that we can now make endless jokes about Bennett from Commando.
It seems Zito has an eye (or is drawn towards) guys who have struggled or fallen off on their current teams. This is Zito’s GM blueprint at the moment since coming to Florida.
Some have benefited from a change in scenery (Wennberg, Forsling, etc.) so we’ll have to see what what these deadline pickups of Montour, Goose, Carlsson and Wallberg (to a lesser extent) do. _______________
