The hockey season is fast approaching. The Toronto Maple Leafs announced earlier this summer that they will participate in the NHL Prospect Tournament in Traverse City, MI from September 16-20 in advance of the start of training camp later this month, and on Tuesday the club announced their 2021 Development Camp roster and schedule to take place at Ford Performance Centre this weekend.
39 players (20 forwards, 13 defencemen, six goaltenders) are slated to take part in this year’s development camp, including Leaf draft picks Nick Robertson, Mikhail Abramov, Semyon Der-Argushintsev, Joe Miller, Ty Voit, William Villeneuve, Filip Kral, and Ian Scott.
Draft-eligible Erie Otters center Colby Saganiuk (grandson of former Leaf Rocky), Leafs free agent signings Pavel Gogolev, Alex Steeves, Erik Kallgren and former Detroit goalie prospect Keith Petruzzelli will also take part.
