The Toronto Maple Leafs on the heels of promoting Brandon Pridham has added Laurence Gilman to their management team as an Assistant General Manager.
“Laurence provides terrific experience to our management team,… Leafs GM Kyle Dubas said in a press release. “His 20-plus years in the NHL have seen him manage nearly every type of department in professional hockey and have success doing so.

Gilman is expected to have a hand in personnel decisions. managing the club’s player development department and will replace Dubas in his role as GM of the AHL Toronto Marlies next season.
The 53-year-old worked on the NHL’s Expansion Draft Rules & Regulations Committee in preparation for the NHL Expansion Draft last year and served as Vice President of Hockey Operations & Assistant General Manager and chief negotiator of all player contracts for the Vancouver Canucks from 2008 to 2015.
