Earlier today, Nikita Kucherov was awarded the second star of last week by the National Hockey League.
Jason Zucker of the Minnesota Wild was awarded the first star and goaltender Braden Holtby of the Washington Capitals was awarded the third star.

Kucherov ranked second in the entire league with two goals and five assists in three games. His impressive level of play helped the Tampa Bay Lightning complete a three-game sweep of their California road trip against the San Jose Sharks, Los Angeles Kings, and Anaheim Ducks.
He recorded one goal and two assists against the Sharks and Kings respectively, as well as one assist against the Ducks.
Kucherov currently leads the NHL with 16 goals and ranks second in points with 30, only behind his linemate Steven Stamkos.
Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos are the first set of NHL teammates to each record 30 or more points before their team’s 20th game of a season since 2005-06.
