The Los Angeles Kings’ five-game winning streak came to an end last night, losing 7-0 to the Boston Bruins.

Under a minute into the second period though, DeBrusk scored again for a natural hat trick, tipping in a shot from Patrice Bergeron. Then later, Bergeron tipped a puck in himself, redirecting David Pastrnak’s point shot to make it 4-0. It didn’t get any better for Los Angeles after that, as Taylor Hall came down the wing and wristed a shot through Quick, marking a 5-0 lead for the Bruins and the end of Quick’s night.

Despite the Kings outshooting Boston in the third period, a pair of goals from Erik Haula made it a 7-0 game and the Bruins cruised to the final buzzer to pick up the win.

While the Kings outshot the Bruins, they didn’t have the bulk of the scoring chances and this will be one to forget. They went just 1-for-3 on the penalty kill as well.

Though Los Angeles gave up a ton of chances and a lot of the goals came on good opportunities, it certainly wasn’t Quick’s night. The first goal was awful, the second goal looked worse than it was and came from a good spot but was still highly stoppable, and it’s hard to say a goalie didn’t have a rough game when he gives up five goals on 19 shots

It marks the end of the Kings’ five-game win streak, with the team now set to begin a four-game road trip against the Dallas Stars tomorrow night.
