The Los Angeles Kings picked up a 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins last night, sweeping their back-to-back set.

The second period had a slower pace to it, with the teams combining for just 14 shots. The Bruins capitalized late in the frame to take back the lead though, as Charlie Coyle put a great pass in front to Craig Smith and he beat Petersen, sending Boston to the second intermission up 2-1.

The third period was relatively even, with each team generating some decent chances. Just as it looked like the Kings would come up short though, Trevor Moore managed to tie the game with just 26 seconds remaining, burying a loose puck in front, sending the game to overtime.

In the extra frame, Andreas Athanasiou went in alone and roofed a puck over Linus Ullmark, winning it for Los Angeles.

Considering the Kings were on the second half of a back-to-back on the road and were facing quality competition, itโ€™s a really solid win for the Kings. They werenโ€™t necessarily always in control but they hung around.

It marks the Kingsโ€™ third win in a row, going 3-1-0 on their road trip overall. They didnโ€™t let themselves enter a slump following the two straight losses and are back on track in the Western Conference.

Los Angelesโ€™ next game comes on Thursday against the San Jose Sharks.
