Any more updates on the London franchise for the KHL?
— Bradley (@BradleyKelly57) March 19, 2019
At this point? No. But there should be more clarity once KHL makes their second visit to the UK.
When he comes over to play for Minnesota in a year or two, what kind of player do you think Kirill Kaprizov will be in the NHL?
— Zeke Boyat (@ZBwildnation_HW) March 19, 2019
I do expect him to be a very good top-six player. Reliable in both zones, PP specialist. He has that raw goal scoring touch as well.
Couple of Lokomotiv questions for you. Would Korshkov’s KHL contract require him to wait until May 1st to sign an NHL contract or can he join the Leafs once his team bows out of the KHL playoffs? Any word on Yelesin signing a contract with the Leafs?
— Jeff Cunningham (@crunchy_canook) March 19, 2019
Don't know why this question always come up in regards to KHL free agents. It's simple really - unless team agrees to release the player from their KHL team - the player can't sign in the NHL until May 1st. As for Yelesin - it's better for him to stay in Russia for a little while longer to see if he can even be anything in the KHL.
Will AMUR remain in KHL next season?
— Artel YSD11 (@ArtelYsd11) March 20, 2019
Yes
Severstal and Vladivostok situations in the khl.. Still going 1-2 years?
— Jussi Peltonen (@roykka) March 19, 2019
I don't think that it's even possible to get rid of Admiral at this point. I don't think they're ever going to leave the KHL due to their placement on map, especially because KHL wants to create that Far East division from Asian and Russian teams. Expand to Japan etc. As for Severstal, I truly think they're done. But we'll see in a week what happens to them.
How long will it be before Ilya working and Igor Shestyorkin sign NHL deals
— David Ciss (@David_Ciss) March 19, 2019
NYR should have Shestyorkin under contract this summer, Sorokin's deal expires after next season so don't expect him to join Islanders before that happens.
Will Anton Lander or Nail Yakupov ever try to return to the nhl?
— Derek DePee (@spuds_84) March 19, 2019
I don't see a point for Anton Lander to do so and neither for Yakupov. Nail is interested to come back, but I don't think he'll more than he was before leaving for KHL.
who's your favorite of #theRussianFive?? and have you seen our trailer yet?
— The Russian Five (@RussianFiveFilm) March 19, 2019
Fedorov and it's not close.
What city is Red Star playing in next season?
— Jo Kerit (@kerit_jo) March 19, 2019
Unknown at this point. KHL has requested clarification on the matter. We should know more after KHL's BoG meeting next week.
Any updates or thoughts on the future of Slovan Bratislava? Obvious financial troubles, bad team, maybe looking for new ownership (?), etc.
— On The Future (@OnTheFutureOTF) March 19, 2019
New ownership, new sponsors... this has happened too many times since 2016. I truly think that they are done and will cease to exist during next weeks BoG meeting.
What are the odds Gusev signs with Vegas at the end of his KHL playoffs season
— Brian (@brianpuglisi4) March 19, 2019
Gusev is focused on the playoffs right now. We know that he's in communication with the Vegas Golden Knights. McPhee has given all his guarantees to bring him over. I just don't see him rushing off to NHL straight away. But I do expect him to be in Vegas line-up come next October.
Could you see Golyshev joining the Islanders if Avtomobilist is eliminated this round? @StapeAthletic
— Darius Radziszewski (@dradziszewski27) March 19, 2019
Too soon. He doesn't know what he wants to do, another guy that will have to make that decision during the summer.
