January 4th - Riga. The game between Nizhnekamsk Neftehimik and Dinamo Riga was entertaining for fans for many reasons. Quality hockey, some scrums and potential fights that were ruined by zebras.
Dinamo Riga won the game with a score 2-1, and Neftehimik's goalie Ilya Ezhov who is known for sometimes being an ass turned up the heat once again. During post-game handshake, Dinamo Riga's Janis Kalnins left one of his gloves in his crease as he went to line-up with other players that had already taken the center ice.
Ilya Ezhov noticed the glove laying there, and he went straight towards it, picked it up and as he skated off the ice, tossed into the crowd.
Although the offender hasn't had any disciplinary action taken against him, his team reportedly was quick enough to react and leave some money on the table, so a new glove could be designed and delivered to Latvian goalie.
