Jets prospect named one of the best during final week of regular season

KHL's regular season has concluded and the league has named the best players of the final week.

The best goalie was Konstantin Barulin (HC Sochi), who had two shutout wins in two games last week, helping his team securing the sixth place in the Western Conference standings and clinching a playoff spot. Barulin has now an alive, 119 minutes and 12 seconds-long shutout series.

The best defenseman was Michal Jordan (Amur), who won two of three games last week, scoring 2 (1+1) points. The Czech defenseman posted no negative ratings, ending the week plus-3. He also had ten shots on goal and blocked seven shots from the opposition. Jordan logged an average time on ice of 23 minutes and 11 seconds.

The best forward was Alexander Barabanov (SKA), who won three games of three last week, including two road matches. Last week, the SKA forward scored 4 (3+1) points, posting a double against Lokomotiv. Barabanov posted no negative ratings and ended the week with a plus-4 rating.

The best rookie was forward Kristian Vesalainen (Jokerit), who won two of three games last week, posting a pair of assists. The 19-years-old Finn forward posted no negative ratings, ended the week with a plus-2 rating, and logged an average time on ice of 14 minutes and 39 seconds.
