Tuesday night’s action in the NHL showed a disturbing trend when it comes to teams taking liberties with opposing goaltenders.
In the Islanders 3-1 win over Chicago, Casey Cizikas was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for interference after colliding full force with Hawks goalie Alex Stalock. Stalock did not return and third-stringer Arvid Soderblom took the loss.

In the wild 6-5 overtime win in Pittsburgh, Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak plowed into Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry, and received only a minor penalty.
