To those of you in Canada, the day after Christmas brings with it one a of the greatest of all hockey traditions. The World Junior Tournament is under way. Thanks to the NHL Network in the USA this has become part of our holiday tradition as well. Seeing the best young talent the world has to offer compete on a stage that rivals any other tournament in all of sports is a wonderful spectacle.
To many NHL fans this tournament is the first memory they have of NHL Stars. Unless you are an ardent fan of junior or college hockey, this is where you first saw Crosby, Ovechkin, McDavid, Matthews, and many many more...
