I basically watched two...
On Toronto @ Winnipeg...
Hard to believe you can say a goalie of a team who won 7-2 was the difference, but the Leafs Andersen was last night. In the first period, especially on the power play, the Jets were everywhere and firing on all cylinders. If they land one or two goals there that outcome could have been vastly different...I am big on the Jets as you will see in my picks below...
The Leafs showed ZERO signs of a sophomore slump, and with Auston Matthews I really don't think we should have even considered the possibility.
On Philly @ San Jose
A great game played at a breakneck pace. The Flyers played their best game in well over a year and the speed and precision of their passing was phenomenal. Wayne Simmonds, Giroux, Voracek and Gostisbehere all looked great and THAT is what you want to see. Travis Konecny didn't score, but had many opportunities and really will be a force.
The Sharks defense looked out of sync for the most part, but their offense looks like it could surprise some who are writing them off.
