While the finalists for the Norris, Lady Byng, Hart, Selke, and others will be announced in a few weeks, each of the 31 clubs revealed their nominees for the Bill Masterton Trophy on Wednesday and the Toronto Maple Leafs announced that winger Zach Hyman is their selection. After suffering an ACL injury in the 2019 first-round loss to Boston, the Toronto native had off-season surgery and went through nearly six months of rehabilitation, missing all of training camp and the first 19 games of the regular season. The feisty winger did not seem to suffer any ill effects from the injury, with no loss of speed or hesitancy to go into the corners and retrieve the puck. "I'm definitely happy with my ability to come back from a serious injury. Anytime you get injured like that, you spend a lot of time away from the team, away from the rink and the ice. It's good to have a good year and bounce back." Hyman said in a conference call in April. "I'm happy without everything kind of turned out and just put a lot of work into getting back to feeling a little bit normal."
